Who we are

Doubleslash Studio is a web development and software studio based in Cardiff, working with clients across the UK. For anything in this policy, get in touch through our contact form. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what you choose to send us. If you use the enquiry form or email us, that means:

• Your name and email address, so we can reply.
• Your company name, if you give it, for context.
• Whatever you write in the message and the type of project you pick.

We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to run the project. We do not sell it, rent it, or feed it into a marketing list. There is no autoresponder and no sales sequence.

Cookies and local storage

This site stores your cookie-consent choice in local storage so we do not ask again on every page. That choice never leaves your device. If you accept, we also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to measure site usage - see below. If you reject, Google Analytics does not load and no analytics cookies are set.

You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookies" link in the footer of every page.

Third-party services

To keep the site fast and smooth, a few things load from reputable third-party networks. In the course of serving those files, they may receive your IP address and browser details, as any web request does:

• Google Fonts for the typefaces.
• GSAP and Lenis, loaded from a content delivery network, for animation and smooth scrolling.
• Google Analytics (GA4), to understand how visitors use the site - which pages are popular, how people arrive, and roughly how the site is used on mobile versus desktop. This only loads if you accept the cookie notice. We have IP anonymisation switched on, and we do not use Analytics to identify you personally or combine it with other data about you. Google's own privacy policy governs how it handles this data, and can be seen at policies.google.com/privacy.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we are in conversation, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. If you would rather we deleted yours sooner, just ask.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how we use it. Send us a message through our contact form and we will deal with it, usually within a few days. If you are not happy with how we have handled things, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing sneaky, no fine print.
